Do you plan to eventually update to a unlocked intel "K" CPU, do SLI or Crossfire? If so you should keep the Z97, otherwise an H97 motherboard would do the trick.

The AMD R9 280X would give you better performance for about the same price as the nVidia 960.

Pretty solid build for the budget. Though, you can save some money by picking h97 motherboard and 550w PSU (650w is overkill for that system).
