Hello everyone! I believe its time for some upgrades to my gaming pc. and i need some suggestions. my surrent setup is below:

Biostar TA970 smart mobo (absolutely hate this mobo with a fiery passion)
Amd 6300 cpu
i have a EVGA GTX 760 2gb gpu, i thought about getting another one of these for sli i absolutely love this gpu.
8gb ram
corsair 750w power supply
h100i cpu cooler
i have a ssd and a 1 terabyte hardrive

My main focus is on the cpu and the mobo, if possible on the mobo something with a red and black theme or just straight black. but if not its fine ill just not look at it lol. Also is the gtx 760 a good gpu to sli with so i dont make the mistake of purchasing another one for nothing.

BUDGET IS 800$

Solution
The only reason to get an i7 is if you need a workstation and gaming PC in one machine or want 3 or 4-way SLI. If you use a 4k monitor or multiple 1440p monitors with SLI then get a high end i7.

You can play any game on ultra settings with a single 1080 monitor with specs like these.

i5 4690K
8GB 1600 Mhz RAM
GTX 770

As far as the best MB that depends on your budget;Asus Maximus VI Formula $258, Asus Maximus VI Hero $170, MSI Z87-G45 Gaming $99 are great.

Here is a side by side comparison for the FX-8350 and the I5-4690K.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iehrXA3n39c

Look at the results and see where you money would be best spent, if its for gaming the the video makes it pretty obvious. The best AMD has to offer would be the FX-8350 only for the base clock but the FX-6350 and FX-8350 will O.C to the same sweet spots. If power draw is a issue then the FX-8370E would be a better option which is $20 cheaper than the I5.

Now for SLI, it's not worth it unless your running multiple monitors @1080, what I hate about SLI is on new Titles things would be unstable as hell for up to 6 months while they poke and prod at new drivers.
