Hi People . I'm About to Build my Gaming System in near future and my limit is 2.000 $ just wanna check in with you guys and get some advice on parts

Im not gonna OC or Crossfire/SLI at all and i want it for hardcore gaming only .

CPU & Mainboard : for Processor i'm going with i7 6700K and for MainBoard i think im gonna go with MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK AC Because aside from having all i need from a good gaming mainboard ( m.2 sata express and USB 3.1 ) it also has Built in AC WIFI which means i dont have to go and buy external AC USB Wifi adapter . if the built in one is really that strong . or maybe i can ignore built in wifi and USB 3.1 and go for cheaper mini ATX ones . Donno

Monitor and VGA : for monitor ill grab a slim 19Inch LED with 1366x768 resolution . and for VGA im gonna get GTX 980Ti . this combo might be overkill for now but is cheap and will work much longer because i wont be on the edge with sucha small monitor and i always can use my HD TV if i felt the need for more quality . i even consider GTX titan X

Memory and Storage : 500GB m.2 ssd is all i need for storage but im stuck between 16GB and 32GB Ram Solution . and i keep asking my self if i get 3000Mhz ram then should i OC it to make it work on my board or it will work by enabling some sort of XMP profile or something . will anything over 2133 mHZ work without the need of OCing ?

my Final System collected via PCHound :

CPU : Intel Core i7 6700K
Cooler : COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO ( i doubt ill need waterCooling since i dont OC )
Main : MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK AC
RAM : 32GB DDR4 2133 or DDR4 3000 G.SKILL or Crucial ( which one runs without OC ? )
VGA : GIGABYTE GTX 980Ti WINDFORCE
PSU : EVGA 850W 220-G2-0850-XR ( do i need more ? wont OC or CF/SLI )
SSD : SAMSUNG 850 EVO MZ-N5E500BW M.2 500GB
CASE : NZXT S340 White Steel ATX Mid Tower Case
Monitor : ASUS VS197T-P 19Inch ( sounds perfect )

Posted on wrong section so sorry . how can i edit the section ?

Okay few things. Why would you say you don't want to OC, and then say you're gonna buy a K series CPU? That makes 0 sense. Why would you buy a 980ti, and then buy a 768p monitor? That is absolutely absurd. You wont even be able to notice the difference between a $500 build and a $2000 build on a 768p monitor.

Bruh that's wonky try this out. THis should play well with 4k and murder 1080p.

You may not NEED water cooling, but it's a really good price ad should keep your temps low where you want them.

i currently have GTX 760 on 1360x768 Monitor and i cant max out some games

first of all im sorry it was 32GB not 43GB ram and second windforce 3X is a cooling solution i didnt mean 3 way sli . i said i wont sli or crossfire

me not OCing doesnt mean i7 6700K is a bad idea or overkill . its future proof and really fast . and its the only skylake i7 cpu out there .

do i need 4Cores and HT ? yes why not . games are taking advantage of it . and getting 4.2 Ghz without OCing ? who wouldnt want it ?

and finally . why should i get a monster Monitor that my VGA will have hard time pushing it after few years . why not getting something that will last longer and still gives great quality ?

this is good!
what I would do, I would get 16gb ram and add few more bucks to hit that 2k price tag and get 27" IPS or 27" 144hz panel.

1366x768?!!! YOU CAN DO 4K ON THAT GPU! 1440P would be best, 1080p is just overkill

Dude. You're not making any sense. If all you want is to max out games on a 768p monitor, all you need to do is buy a GTX 770 or something in that area. You will be able to play anything maxed out, 60fps. For years to come. This 2 grand of a pc is a sad waste of cash for 768p.

The skylake processor is barely faster than the 4790k, which is also a 4-core CPU. And the monster monitor? is not a monster. it's 1080p with a high refresh rate. This build will handle games for a long. long time. The only reason the refresh rate I chose is so high, is that your graphics card will have no issue at all with this monitor. Also it's not called a VGA

The motherboard you wanted isnt available yet so i used the krait since its priced similarly. This is of you must go skylake otherwise go the 4790k build.

Ok ill consider FHD Monitors or little bit higher but what about the memory and PSU ?

1.IS the PSU enough or i need 1K one ? remember NO crossfire/SLi/OC

2.will 3000Mhz ram run without OCing ? will anything higher than 2133mhz run without any kind of OC ? by enabling xmp profile or something ?

3.What do you think about Storage ? is m.2 Samsung good enough ?

4.how is the built in wifi in MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK AC ?

5.Any difference between 16GB vs 32GB ram ? which one is more future proof ?

The system I put together should last you years. ESPECIALLY with DX12 coming out lately and all. you could even bump up the graphics card to a Titan X if you wanted to spend a little more. one thing I can say though, is that 4k monitors are really expensive right now. That's the only reason I stick with 1080p and 1440p. if 4k monitors weren't super expensive, there would be one in the build.

1 NO, 650w is plenty enough for any single gpu.

2. POINTLESS, get 1600

3. grab a ssd + a normal hdd.

4. I have found MSI motherboards to be hit and miss. gigabyte or asus are better.

5. Do you want to also render? If only gaming then 8gb.

Instead of WASTING money or pointless fru-fru like you want, get a 1440P monitor with that money and actually ENJOY THE POWER OF THAT GPU.

i know your leaning bit more toward quality by suggesting slower hardwares and bigger monitor but i realy dont care about such a big monitor . FHD is the most ill ever get and is already amazing . i can get 1440P monitor an still get those stuff i mentioned . 1600Mhz ram on DDR4 Stick ? the least they run is 2133mhz and i saw 2x8GB 3000Mhz memories and i'm asking to see if they will run on my board without any need for OverClocking the Memory . i had a 1333Mhz board and i could active 1600Mhz ram on it via enabling XMP profile .

i used MSI motherboards before with no problems . asus gigabye and msi are all great brands . but the Motherboard i mentioned is offering Built in Wifi and is just 150$ compared to other ones that offer wifi and go up to 400$ .

and 8GB ram for such a powerful system might not be the most future proof option . and SSHD is slower than SSDs . a regular SSD is not that expensive anymore . if im building a 2K system then having SSHD or HDD+SSD instead of a good SSD is a ... crap idea .

few questions still remains . will any memory over 2133 mHZ work without the need for overclocking ? 2133 is the default for DDR4 and i saw pair of 8GB 3000Mhz gaming G.Skill Sticks and im not sure if they will run with no issue .

is built in Wifi in MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK AC any good ( ignore the range . just the performance ) ? or i better get seperate USB Wifi adapter ?

and finally . do i need water Cooling ? or Hyper Evo will do just fine ?

please answer these questions only

- i understood that GTX 980 Ti is overkill for HD Monitor so ill try to get FHD one

I honestly thought this was a troll thread. Until now. I guess you're serious.

Mobo Wifi performance will be fine
No you don't need water cooling
No you don't need a k series cpu if you don't want to oc
Skylake and ddr4 isn't worth it for gaming

That IS the best option...

SSD for OS + games, the hdd for storage... JEEZ...

I'm done, go ahead waste your money on useless stuff like 32GB ddr4 (loooool) instead of what actually matters...
