What you think of this build I think its pretty good. im debating core i3 or fx 6300 For his needs Hes playing battlefield 3,far cry 3 Etc The core i3 is about 25bucks cheaper. And has a upgrade to the i5. So yea.

The i3 would be perfectly capable of playing BF3 and Far Cry, also allowing you to spend an extra $25 on a case, unless he already has one?

The motherboard is Micro but it still has a pcie 3.0 x16 slot and 2x ddr3 slots just get one 8gb stick and anthor later Thats seems alright to me

Seems a pretty good idea, but the graphics card may cover two of the sata slots, don't know how many you would wanna have available though.

True hm... Well he needs 1 for the optical and 1 for the HDD i think it should be fine?

One of the Satas that is covered is the 6GBps one, might be able to get at it with a right angle cable though

This system only needs a 600w PSU (AMD CPUs are power hungry). You could drop down from 750w to 600w unless the extra headroom is for Crossfire.

Also fx-6300 is probably better than a dual core for gaming. Stick with that AMD CPU unless you want a Intel 3470 instead.

8gb RAM should be 2x4gb. I can't explain why but I heard it's better.

Lastly, some parts of Australia get really hot and overclocking adds a lot of heat so get a special cooler such as a cooler master evo.
