Also, for being a gaming rig, your part list is interestingly missing one of the most critical parts: a graphics card.

When starting from scratch I usually start my [gaming] build with a graphics card and go from there,like video,cpu,psu,mobo,ram,etc,etc,although [to me] the single most important component is the psu..:)

I would suggest a WD 640 GB HDD, and that PSU is modular, so it costs a lot more. If you don't mind hiding some of the cables, you can get a PC Power and Cooling 750w for $80 at microcenter (it's a fantastic PSU).

Unless you know you'll SLI, get a P45 board for about the same price or less. If you are going to SLI, then make sure you buy an nVidia GPU (260 possibly).
