Ok my daughter is into pc gaming and plays BF4 ,CS and CS:GO. Now she wants me to build her a computer that she can use for gaming and to stream with. What would do the job for her without breaking my wallet? Ddont want to go over $1000 on hrr build but want to give her good fps and good streaming quality.

Current system:
Amd fx 6320
Asrock mobo with 970 chipset
8 gigs ddr3 1600 ram
Msi 6970 lightning gpu
Antec 750 psu
Wd 1tb hdd
Windows 10pro

Solution
that 290x can run very hot, and will use a lot of power.
you will need a case with good airflow, but in the end its cheaper than buying a new graphics card.

about the build , i don't have any experience with that solid state drive.
But i think it would be better to get a high quality evo 250gb, which is really enough and is the best quality u can get.

The only thing I would change in turkeys build would be to shove the PSU up to a 650w as the 550w is the bare minimum wattage wise for the GPU he selected and the 650w would mean you could stick another GPU in for Crossfire if your daughter wanted to in the future.

The G2 550W is perfectly sufficient.

A quality 550W is enough. That being said, the SuperNOVA B2 750W is $50 after rebate. Wouldn't hurt throwing that in there - a quality unit also, and plenty additional wattage for almost any future upgrade.

The Xeon + 380X is pretty much unbeatable for the price Turkey's found them for.

Thanks for the info didnt even think about going with Xeon processor. Thanks for the insight on Xeon turkey.
Also im ugrading from my 290x to new gpu would that be better for her than the 380x?

The 290x does have a bit of an edge over the 380x is some situations and at worst case scenarios it's much the same. If you already have it to donate, it would be the better option than paying for the 380x.

As an FYI, the 390x is the best AMD card other than their FURY cards (FURY, FURY Nano, FURY X), and the 390x is essentially an OC'd 290x..........you could OC the 290x yourself and essentially have a 390x, albeit with 4GB opposed to the 390x's 8GB VRAM.

Out of curiosity, what are you planning to replace your 290x with? There's not too many cards out there that would be a substantial upgrade (shy of the FURY cards, a 980ti or Titan X or Titan Z).

the xeon is the best for streaming yes because it got 6 cores and games dont utileze more than 4 coresm gives u 2 cores for other tasks like ts and streaming.
for the gpu well the 290x is really strong i wouldnt upgrade untill nvidia pascal/amd polaris releases later this year.

Streaming is best served with numerous cores/threads, whereas gaming benefits more from higher speed, efficient cores.

The Xeon turkey linked is a great balance. Quad Core + HT (8threads) is essentially an i7, without the iGPU for a lesser cost. It fits within budgets that would only allow a Quad core i5 if viewing the standard i3/i5/i7 range.

Usually, you go to higher numbers of cores and either the speed per core reduces significantly, or the overall cost skyrockets. The Xeon listed is a good balance of cores vs clock speed vs price.

For example:
Xeon E5-2650 is an 8 core + HT option, somewhat reasonably priced ($600ish) but clocked at 2.0GHz.
To go with a higher core option, with somewhat reasonable speeds, let's look at the Xeon E5-2697. A 12 core + HT option, clocked at a decent 2.7GHz (turbo'ing to 3.5GHz), but comes is priced at $2,500

Both would be great for streaming (multiple cores), although overkill. For gaming though, they'd be pretty poor performers (relatively speaking) due to their lower clock speeds.

One of the best options for these needs, at a (relatively) decent price point would be an i7-5820k + X99 motherboard. 6 core + HT @ 3.3GHz.

You could give her this i7 & pair it with the 290x you already have.......if you're planning to upgrade anyway. It can be done right around a $1,000 budget (since the GPU cost is removed) but, depending what setup you have, you might want to keep it for yourself! haha.

i have 3 daughter 2 of which game one is 15 one is 9 and my computer. Mine usually has the most up to date parts. but since i failed to get my daughter tickets to the MLG CS:GO tournament in Columbus in April we decided we would upgrade her computer because she now wants to do gaming and streaming because she says there are not enough girls that stream gaming. So 2 $45 tickets is now costime me $1000+ . Tickets sold out before i could get them ordered, in 8hrs. The 290x is in mine. Also im bit of and AMD fan and was wondering if there was an AMD alternative ?

Zen is an unknown quantity at this point. Hopefully they step their game up & release something worthwhile to keep pace (or exceed) Intel's Skylake or upcoming Kaby Lake or Cannonlake............they really have to set the pace, they've fallen too far behind.

That being said, I'm a betting man.....and I still wouldn't bet on AMD pulling it off. Hoping they surprise me.
