Hi,
I have a pc with following specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7-8700
GPU: MSI GTX 1070 gaming x
RAM: G.skill tridentz 2XGB RGB kit.
MB: ASUS ROG strix B360 F gaming

Im looking for an affordable ultrawide curved gaming monitor with below requirements:

Refreshrate: 144hz
Response time: 1ms
Input ports: DisplayPort(at least one)

I’ve came up with LG 34UC79G. But I have these doubts. Since this monitor is 1080p people say there may be problems. They suggest 1440p is better for ultrawide.

Please suggest me some models with above requirements. And also share your thoughts whether 1070 can handle 1080p or 1440p ultrawide.

Thanks

Solution
The 1070 should be capable of doing so.

From my experience, I have not seen any problems with a 1080p ultra wide. What is your budget?

1080p:

200 Hz and well rounded monitor.

Ultrawide you meant is 21:9 not 16:9, yes?
1080p on 16:9 = 1920x1080 while 1440p is 2560x1440
1080p on 21:9 = 2560x1080 while 1440p is 3440x1440
When peolple mention 1080p or 1440p without further remarks, they mean the 16:9

For 1070 and gaming, it is better to pick 2560x1080 instead of 3440x1440.
1070's FPS will not be that good anymore for that.

About 16:9 or 21:9,
If you try to compare 2560x1080 (1080p 21:9) with 2560x1440 (16:9), I prefer to have the 2560x1440, because for working 16:9 is more comfortable for me.
You have to consider first what would be the most comfortable for you.

The thing is tho'.
Buying a monitor is however a bit tricky, you should go for the best monitor you can afford.
If you get bad FPS, you can simply lower the resolution or lower the settings.
People tend to keep the monitor longer than the PC, not to even mention the GPU.
If you like 21:9, I would grab 3440x1440, if you can still afford it.

The 1070 should be capable of doing so.

Yes I meant 21:9. My budget for the monitor is <1000$. With 3440x1440(21:9) and my requirements what are the models you can recommend? I'll probably upgrade the GPU in some day.

p.s: I've never had a experience with a 1080p monitor(standard or ultrawide).This is my first time with a pc like this. :)
