Additional Comments: This computer is for a friend that makes YouTube videos, primarily PC games with some consololol. He usually uploads 2-4 videos a day so I'm assuming that a i7 will be a must for this build unless you can argue that a i5 will suffice. Also not sure if this matters but he uses Sony Vegas Pro 11 for his video editing so I'm guessing that a Radeon card will be the way to go because of open CL, I think.

Well that is a debate i don't know the answer to some say

go with ivy bridge. it offers more performance per clock than sand-bridge though you can get better clocks with SB. as long as you have good cooling, it wouldnt really matter until you reach very high clocks

Solution
Thank you for the help on this build. I going to go with the 2600k as I just got done taking to him and a brought up the fact that Haswell is the next release. And how it's going to show the large performance per clock over IB.

Windows 7 professionial is on sale (just for this weekend! July 28th and July 29th) you get $20 off with this promo code "EMCYTZT1967" All you have to do is subsribe to neweggs e-Blast deals (with the promo code it's only $20 more than home premium.

Motherboard $15 cheaper than one above and is still a great quality motherboard.)

i5-3570k (The i7 is really overkill and kind of expensive about $110 more and the only difference is hypertheading and a bigger L3 cache your friend should be fine with a i5 you will only see a real difference if you have over 8 different applications running at the same time and it save you some money for some other items. You can always overclock too, to about 4.0Ghz you should be stable)

With that extra money you now saved you can now add a SSD that you can put your OS and some applications/games on so you now have a fast responsive system.

No problem your very welcome! And i am hoping they get it right with Haswell personally i have IB and SB and honestly i prefer SB over ivy 😉 but for whatever reason most on this forum recommend ivy.
