Hey So there are tonnes of threads about building a PC in this price range but they are mostly a year to 2 years old...

I play the division, siege, etc... don't really need 4K but would like it to be future proof(but not necessary). my side job is to video edit wedding, proposal and slow motion video at around 5-10mins in length at 1080p (for not and hence the future proof for 4k)

I already have a K70 Keyboard, razer mamba chroma series mouse, and all my monitors are 1080p ( i have 3 monitors at 1080p) not thinking of upgrading these any time soon, unless my business needs change. Also i have windows 10 through a work program for $10.

so all i need is the actual PC build..
i would like it to be decently powered PC with an eye appealing case (white with windows). Probably something like the NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case (but not sure if need a full or mid tower case as i haven't built a PC before, well i have but that was like 13 years ago).

i guess i just need help not OVER spending on unnecessary brands and parts.. the prices range greatly with mother boards and graphics cards...the processor at i5 seems to be limited and pricing is +/- within $50 of eachother i.e. the 6600k at the top from partpicker.

also do i need 2 x graphics cards? what would require 2 graphics cards?

Thanks in advance ; >

Nah its fine I can answer, I've just been at work all day.

All in one coolers like the Corsair H series give similar performance for the price to air coolers in my experience so they're fine if you prefer them. For something similar in performance to the Dark Rock 3 I'd look at a H80 or something.

The GTX 970 supports 3 monitors, that will be fine.
I wouldn't go with 2 graphics cards, it is completely unnecessary at 1080P for gaming and the video editing software might not even benefit from it. A GTX 970 is more than enough power for 1080P at the moment.

I'd look at an i5-6600k as a minimum. You'd see a slight performance boost with an i7-6700k but it does cost a lot more so if it was my money I'd stick with the i5 and overclock it to 4.6 - 4.7Ghz. 8GB is more than enough RAM for gaming and may even be enough for the video editing but you might as well go for 16GB as I think you would see some beenfit from it and it isn't much more expensive.

That's just within budget and should do a great job.

sweet thank you ; >
is there a real big difference from a air cooling system and a liquid cooling system?
really like the aesthetic look for the cooling..

and i won't have an issue hooking up 3 monitors to the 970?
