Before we even start, I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to help me out and reading this.
I've recently got the old itch to build a new computer. I built my last one a little over 4 years ago and it is starting to get dated and drag(even after sticking 4 more gigs of ram in). Moving into a new home and attempting to get engaged has made me limit my spending on this build.
I do work from home sometimes but I mostly game (LoL, BF3 when it comes out, BF2,..)
My goal with this build is to get another 4 years out of a system without going TOP of the line. (Hopefully I can kick the gaming habit by then) So far I am just getting ideas and my cart looks like the following:
G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR X2 $140
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS $209.99
Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600K $314.99
Corsair Graphite Series 600T CC600TM Mid-Tower Gaming Case
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX850M 850W ATX12V v2.31 / EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular High Performance Power ... CASE & PSU $274.98
Corsair Force Series GT CSSD-F60GBGT-BK 2.5" 60GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Item #: N82E16820233193 $134.99
Now here's my BIG delemia. As you can tell I have no video card and I'm already around the $1,000-$1,100 price range.
I'm sure I can shake some $'s off by going with a cheaper case. I will also be headed to a local microcenter and getting a OEM HD for $50 bucks.
Can anyone analyze the build and tell me what I can replace for maybe less expensive items, or where my bottle necks will be. I really do not want to be over the $1350 range for this build but I know with all the new stuff coming out with teselation and DX11 I'm not sure which card will get me the most bang for the buck and what to drop off.
Thank you for any help in advance
