Gaming with discord

I have a really weird question. As I have a very old and bad cpu in my pc, I cant game with discord simply because it lags my games. Im getting an athlon 200ge with 2 cores and 4 threads and i think I could play some games with discord. My question is do you guys with bad cpus also lose fps in game when using discord or is it just me?

I have the Ryzen 1800x, but I know people that have that problem.

lmao thank you so much for your very accurate answer. I got the pc and I can run games like CSGO, Fortnite, Overwatch and GTA V without impact on performance from discord.
