Great, now you have 4 A-pillars to get in the way. Couldn't they render the game to show the front window on the center screen and the left and right windows on the side screens? That would make this setup much better.

sub-.02ms

I highly, highly doubt that these screens have response times more than ONE HUNDRED TIMES that of the current best.

2 milliseconds or 0.02 seconds. 0.02 millisecond response times are not currently possible. I doubt they'll be possible in the next 10 years, either.

Well, I skimmed the comments and didnt see anything, so here goes:

BUT CAN IT PLAY CRYSIS?

Also...

Modern Warfare 2 isnt balanced for 3 curved LCD's.

Ok, back to work for me.

Even though it looks kinda cool... I don't think I'd want it.. And I'd have to have a pretty elaborate setup and desk to do so.

I wonder how weird everyday tasks are on one of those.. Too bad I'll never find it.. Within the next few years anyway.

this is going on 2009 almost 2010. I wonder if there are more games out there that support a multi monitor setup. Not just stretching the screen out to 2 monitors either, but have a true multi monitor life MS flight simulator where you can have you screen on one monitor and a map or instruments on another. same goes for other titles.

[citation][nom]lipoly[/nom]It looks like its running at a blurry 15fps to me. Displays look neato though.[/citation]

That could also be dependent on the video camera that's filming this...

Nice but 20 g come on I can set up a cubicle with hidef screens that would make that look like a joke and for way less than 20g. Power it with super cross fire system or maybe sli but Nvidia is falling off it seems..

[citation][nom]Jerther[/nom]There is still the same problem as before: two vertical bars. In this example, they don't seem to harm the gameplay but I've seen setups where multiple bars like that would just make a game unplayable.I've seen borderless screens put together to form a giant screen; now that is cool[/citation]
I wonder this too, the displays are only part of the formula.

Reminds me of Sega's arcade game Ferrari F355 Challenge. That game was amazing when it came out! It had 3 monitors, a 6 speed H style manual shifter AND 3 foot petals (gas, clutch and brake)!

Well, imagine a 2880 x 900 resolution, a .36mm pixel pitch, and a sub-.02ms response time.

Well, if it was 2880 x 1900, had a .2 pixel pitch and a sub -.02 I might be interested.

Right now it is an over priced sub $199 tft panel on an over priced (mult-thousand dollar) plastic frame formed in the shape of a curve.

It looks a little different in that perspective...

I will do one better... when dell comes out with their replacement for the 3008WFP that is multi-thouch, I will pick up 6 of them, take them apart, and for $1000 I will have someone make me curved bezels so that I can take the 6 panels and make 3 monitors with 5120 x 1900 pixel res. @ a .22 pitch for a total screen resolution of 15,360 x 1900.

that will give me 3 60 inch panels and have them curved and I will still beat the $20,000 price tag of that setup.

What is this world coming to...

INCORRECT

2ms = .002s

if you're going to criticize conversion factors, at least get them right yourself

If you're looking at the center monitor, the two surrounding monitors are stretched and blurred to simulate your natural peripheral vision while moving at a high velocity. This is intentional. If you could take a 1:1 photograph of your natural field of view - the image outside of your foveal vision would also appear blurry and undetailed.

The problem is, we change our FOV rapidly and the objects directly outside our fovea constantly go in and out of focus with every micro-twitch of the eye. If you turned your head to look out of the simulated car window, there would be no way to detect your current focal point and the image would remain distorted. You could fix this issue by wearing some sort of big-ass helmet that detects head movement and assumes you are looking straight ahead at all times. Big-ass helmet.

Nice.... although some might think the fps are slow, I believe there is a reason the DOD bought them for simulation. Packed with the Air forces PS3's they bought recently, this should be a nice simulator, LOL.....

My neighbors are in a bad spot it seems, I could probably ffer them 10k and they'd still sell it. =D

Yeah... if I were to run a try monitor setup (which I almost did), I'd have all of them in a vertical position (9/16 instead of 16/9, for a total of 27/16 aspect ratio).
