Garry's Mod Addons Not Working

I just bought Garry's Mod on the steam sale, and i tried to install an addon of Chicago from Watch Dogs. I installed it by pressing subscribe in the steam workshop, but when I started the game I couldn't use it.

If I look in the addons section in Gmod, it shows that the map is installed and active, but I can't use it...

Any ideas?

To use that map you have to start a new game and when it takes you to the map selection menu search down the list for the map it should be in there somewhere it doesn't always sort it in the right order.

That doesn't work i searched the whole list and it isn't there. It doesn't work for any addons, not just that map

Make sure that you didnt just subscribe make sure to install the map too.

After you subscribe to the map go into addons and find it there. You should have to press install and enable. That should allow the map to go into your list. You should be able to then play your game.

I don't completely know an answer, but this worked for me when I had the problem. It's a problem with steam workshop probably, so try opening steam, clicking steam in the top left and choosing go offline. Otherwise, just wait until the problem is fixed.
