It is installed and I can walk and drive around. Nothing else!

Looked at pictures in the inner room and feel like I should be able to go
into them, but how?

What do I have to do to go someplace else?

hold down the q button to spawn objects, have a play with the different
weapons

press the action key, this will take you into those levels
