Garrysmod Crashing problem

So i can play garrysmod for a little while before my entire computer freezes and garrysmod turns grey screen and i cant alt tab or control alt delete or anything. i have to manually power down my computer.

i7 4790k

Ram hyperX 16Gbs

ASrock Fatal1ty z97 killer

GPU - evga 970 FTW+

PSU corsair hx750

Are your BIOS, chipset and device drivers upto date with the latest drivers? Are you using the latest Nvidia drivers for your GPU? If you're experiencing the issues stated above with the latest GPU drivers then revert to a previous known stable driver using display driver uninstaller. Might I ask what OS you're running off? Can you also state if you're using the internet off the built in Killer ethernet port or via a wireless adapter?
