PC gaming will be dead if many more games like supreme commander 2 are made. He is referencing it as a "triple a" game like starcraft 2... Let's clarify that. Starcraft 2 is a "triple a" game, and supreme commander forged alliance was a "triple a" game, but supreme commander 2 is a miserable excuse for a RTS.

The browser idea sounds ok, but its bad enough that some games cannot be accessed without internet as it is.. What is my internet is down and I want to play a PC game? Do I have to play something 10 years old? That sounds pretty lame to me...

lol PC gaming has been in decline because of consoles. Consoles are just a better alternative compared to PCs due to the hardware not being so expensive. This is one thing nvidia and AMD will never ever get through their heads.

Keep selling the gtx480 at 500+ dollars nvidia you are doing a great job *rolleyes* and please don't bring in the R&D costs, if so much is being spent on R&D how come the newer form of graphics cards run like shit? Maybe they need to sack a few employees in their camp. Also, Direct X11 is a piece of marketing bull.

The likes of Runescape and Earth Eternal everywhere! Now comes the day when 10 year old kids and angsty teenagers are flooding a market once owned by people who spent +300$ on a video card and could pay +13$ monthly.

PC gaming will never die, only the word "Gamer" in essence of how we perceive the meaning of the word will die, or change, and I think a lot of the more hardcore groups of us will eventually die out. Or become more introverted like in the good o'le days.

the pc gaming will still live on with its fancy hardware, not browser based. pc gaming will not be dead, especially when we have steam arround.

If there was games worth buying people would buy them have you seen the pc game shelf at big box stores pretty bare.
It is not piracy that is the problem it is greedy publishers that rip off devs like with mw2 it has become common most developers end up starting all over again under another company.
This has happened so many times that it is not financially viable to create games and make a profit so most games never see light of day.

so because I like a browser based game, my comment deserves to be downranked into oblivion, glad to see so many people with open minds!
Do I love my gaming rig ? Yes I do!
Does that mean that I have to exclusively like installed games? No
I guess I just like having different options

Why does everyone spend the time debating this?? Nvidia, the debated underdog at this point with the hot/power-hungry cards sells many hundreds of millions of dollars in gaming video cards a year...

Does ANYONE think they and AMD/ATI will just shrug their shoulders and let that revenue stream die?? I'd hope not and am banking on this being one of the big $$$ reasons PC gaming lives forever!

[citation][nom]amk09[/nom]although its a sweet idea that will probably end up taking over pc gaming, it's sad to know that we won't need to build high power pc's for gaming anymore[/citation]

It sort of makes me worry about my job stability. If nobody needs non-stock pc systems, what need is there for us people who earn our living providing those things?
