Gateway/control panel limited access

I'm using the router that my ISP gave me, but then gateway/control panel user has limited access. I can only access very few options (change user/pass, port forward, dmz, status) - another 'tab' shows called VoIP to which I don't have access, and I'd like to set up a VPN with the router - but can't without full access.

Is there a way to gain full access?

The router model is Thomson TWG870TS

It is very likely that your ISP provided router has been intentionally limited to prevent end user modifications.

And making changes to the router may run afoul of your ISP service agreement. And this forum cannot support hacking attempts.

Your ISP may offer another router with VPN capabilities.

Contact your ISP. Hopefully you will be able to find someone who understands what you wish to do and can either help directly or provide a link to the appropriate resource(s).

Otherwise you may need to return the ISP's router and purchase your own router.

Just be sure that your ISP supports the use of that router.

ISP's website should have a list of routers that can be used by customers wishing to have their own router vs a ISP rental/lease.

And of course the ISP is not at all obligated to support you if you have problems with that router.
