Gateway fx6800

anyone know where I can find the power header pinout for a gateway fx6800. I got an new case and cant figure out where to connect the power and reset cables

The image shows the layout of the existing cables from the case provided by Gateway to the motherboard.

Gateway doesn't have a reset button assocated with their case, therefore it isn't documented on the header called " FP1 ". It is there on one of those sets of pins, but who knows.

To the left of " FP1 " are two connections to attach optional fans, using the three pin keyed connectors.

To the right of " F USB3 " is the BIOS Reset jumper.

To the right of " F USB1 " is the CMOS Reset jumper.

Between " F 1394 and F Audio " is the SPDIF interface.

The right most, white keyed connection is the AUX-IN for attaching the audio cable from the optical drive.

The system reset pins on the header FP1 are the ones immediately across from the front panel power switch wires (white & red).

Orientation:

Case metal bottom (silver colored)

PPPP PP (from left to right, the 3rd & 4th pins is for the White & Red Power On Jumper wire)
PPPPPPP (form left to right, the 3rd & 4th pins is for the System Reset Jumper wires)

This side is where the motherboard stuff is shown in the picture provided

Orientation Notes:

I would not think would be important, but I would follow the similar color combination to the power on wire of White wire, Color wire, ... for when you insert the wire pair associated with the system reset wire, in regards to the cases system reset button, on the front panel of the case.

Look at the photograph that was taken showing all of the header pins. The one described as PPPP PP (Front Panel 1), with the third and fourth pins (left to right, as shown in the photo) is where you plug in your power on switch, with the white wire being put on the 3rd pin, and the red wire put onto the fourth pin.

If you want to add a Reset Switch, then you use PPPPPPP (Front Panel 1), with the third and fourth pins (left to right, as shown in the photo).
