I know this thing is old, but I use it for older pc games so I don't have to go through the hassle of getting them to run on my windows 10 pc. But I have a Gateway Netbook LT2016U and it comes pre-installed with 1gb of RAM, and I read that they can take a maximum of 2gb, problem is, I can't seem to find RAM chips for it, and I don't know what ones would actually work. The RAM chip itself says "1gb 2Rx16 PC2-5300S-555-12-A3" And it's a Samsung. So I guess my question is what chips will work? And could you possibly provide a shopping link so I could get a general idea of what I'm looking for as well??

Thank you so Much!

PS. This Netbook is running Windows XP

I would get just about any (new hopefully or a verified used person kinda thing).. but DDR2 stick of 667 mhz ram (800Mhz should also work as it will normally just under-clock to the slower speed) but I would stick with Crucial or g.skill ram.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from mhmanbearpig : "Would this RAM fit? And Work?"

Looks like that laptop might only have 1 slot available. I would see if it has just 1 or if it has 2 you can go ahead and it should work.
Follow this guide then tell me how many slots there are.
