[SOLVED] gateway refuses to install correct oem

Hey guys today i was trying to restore my dad's old gateway not to old. But it's not new, however I have a windows 7 r2 active oem copy for all systems. However when i go to install it on his gateway it install's acer's oem. Can i correct this?
