got a ? i just installed a NIC in my current pc. when i turned the pc on, it found the hardware and i successfully loaded the drivers from the cd. when i rebooted for the changes to take effect, i received an error message (blue screen) while trying to load windows. i rebooted the system again, and got to my desktop. however, i could not use the keyboard or the mouse. any ideas?

i unhooked the NIC from the pci slot, and then rebooted my pc. everything loaded back as original and is working properly.

if you go to the manufacturers website...try to see if they have updated drivers...

No there is no reason...must be software incompatability...look for new drivers...

i went to the man. website. the most recent driver was in feb. of 2002. i think i may have that problem taken care of.

what i am trying to do is, i have DSL internet connection with a USB modem. i now have a cayman 3220 router that i want to use for DSL. so, i purchsed the NIC for my pc. trying to figure out how to get into the router interface.
