Hi all

I hooked up all my parts last night, everything powered on ok, but i got no post, and no display on my monitor which does work.

I researched and found it might be the bios on the motherboard not supporting the 860k until updated, that correct?

Sapphire R9 280x vapor oc and yes it was connected.

A BIOS update is needed, then, indeed.
You need a supported CPU for that. Try contacting the retailer or a local PC shop.

Another quick question, is there much difference between the HD3 which i have and the D3H?

I purchased the HD3 by accident instead of the D3h.

The D3H also needs a BIOS update. It depends on the board's manufacture date if supporting or not the CPU (the board has to be manufactured after the date when the necessary BIOS version was released).

Could you suggest a cheap cpu to use to update the bios?
