I dont get why so many nFanboys all over the net, they try to AVOID REALITY. Get over it, a multicore CPU is Overpowered for such calculations thats why ATi chose Havok. I had a GTX280 and Enabling PhysX shows a BIG hit in FPS(Left Always disabled to get better FPS), simply two words: NOT_WORTHIT on the GPU!

I repeat , Watch PhysX DIE in the next two years, wanna bet? Why? With 8 cores+ on the CPU doing nothing while gaming is wasted.

The thing is that all people who defend nVidia doesnt do it the Scientific way(Well 80%+), they just give their OWN OPINION, Get REAL! And I know most people in society think like them its just sad. Give me, numbers, Proofs, facts with WHY not just opinions rofl Ya nVidia NEVER lie, hahaha, 8800GT-9800GT-GTS250-GTX280M ALL the SAME chip in different Box, now its sad to see how they keep defending nVidia while nVidia is sucking their hard earned money LOL

And No I doont take Peoples word like most of you I take Scientific facts. Mutlicores CPU can EASLY do those calculations, Crysis never used PhysX WHY? It would be Unplayable because the GPU is being overtaxed while the CPU usage of a Q6600 NEVER pass the 50% mark on 2 cores only, see the picture?

Now all nFanboys will give -1 hahaha They think I dont know it LOL Because they are everywhere sad nVidia only want your $$$ Rofl

Bad Company 2 is the only game I have that properly use 4 Cores and thers a LOT of physics effect and its always 100fps+. More and more games should be optimized for 4Cores+

Next year IF nVidia comes with a smarter solution SURE I will bash ATi LOOL you guys are funny

You can keep your batman with broken AA on ATi cards can you please explain me please? When AA is enable ALL ATi cards CAPS at 20fps how you call this? nVidia is the $$$ monster and ATi are the smart ass rofl They come with a gpu that is perfect from ALL prospectives, Power Consumption, Speed, Heat, CHEAP ,Eyefininty with a 100$ card can you do this with your Fermi LOL? Oh yea just to name more features, Dolby Digital 7.1 passthrough NO NEED FOR A 300$ Sound card with HDMI output get it?

I always think this is a forum here lol Is there an edit button? I am not wasting my time again on Fermi, lets wait until 26th launch date and see what happens by then. If you want to talk about Fermi thers a Topic in forums, section video cards.

I love the fact everyone here has missed a big point. An open standard means you can change vid card brands without downgrading your games.

[citation][nom]elie3000[/nom]Isnt the Xbox "Microsoft" Natal compatible with windows? Wonder how many games will support it.[/citation]

Many... sadly, because the only games coming to PC are ports.

Nvidia built drivers that supported Ati's cards to run physx

No they didn't. You are mis-reading your own articles.

Nvidia didn't BLOCK ati cards from using physx,...

No they just blocked PhysX from being used if an ATi card was the graphics card... or an S3 card or a Matrox card or intel. Things that worked fine under Ageia. And then nVidia disabled the paid for Ageia PPU cards that built PhysX. :heink:
Sofar it's nVidia against 4 other GPU manufacturers and their own Ageia PPU owners.
Guess that was all AMD's fault too. :pt1cable:

If nVidia were anywhere near interested in an open standard for the API the they would've given up the install requirements, and relax the IP, where they can still sell the physics Engine, which is how they made money before being bought by Ageia and then nVidia. That they didn't shows they were more interested in making PhysX a marketing tool than a successful physics API.
Why? Because they were interested in trying their best to keep dwindling market share and making money, which is the name of the game. It's the same reason that Ageia and Havoc sold-out and didn't follow their original plans, money.

O well if im here I already did half the work lol At least I found the button before seeing your post
Just leave dreamphantom_1977 alone he has nothing to do other than that lol
The videos he posted are all outdated.
You can loose all your time with him without any conclusions, remind me of the guy named Successfull_troll with his benchmarks made by toms rofl

IIRC nVidia OFFERED PhysX acceleration to AMD at one point with AFAICT no string attached, but AMD in their usual wisdom flipped 'em the bird.
