Question GDDR7 VRAM for AMD Radeon 9000 Series ?

Probably there will never be a 9070 XTX, however has there been any talks from AMD regarding another version of the 9070 or 9070 XT using GDDR7 VRAM?

Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti: 16GB GDDR7, 256bit, 28Gbps, 1750MHz, 896GB/s
AMD Radeon RX 9070: 16GB GDDR6, 256bit, 20Gbps, 2500MHz, 640GB/s
Both use 256bit, how come 5070 has +8Gbps and +256GB/s, must be because of GDDR7?

Isn't it hilarious that the prices of 9070 16GB and 9070 XT 16GB are almost the same as the RX 7900 XTX 24GB which makes a difference of 8 GB VRAM but the cards prices are nearly identical, must be a joke right?

The 7900 XTX was released over 2 years ago at $999. MSRP regularly changes throughout the life of a GPU.

I highly doubt the 9000-series would ever get GDDR7, unless they have another variation of the core that they've been working on all this time, without any news of it being leaked. To support GDDR7 would require a controller change on the core itself.

Also, one of the reasons why supply (at least in physical stores) has been good is because they DON'T have to compete with NVIDIA on GDDR7 supply. Not using GDDR7 is also keeping the price of the card down. No, I think AMD did the right thing by staying with GDDR6.
