After all these years and rumors, the game as become a myth. I almost wish it wasn't released. The expectations are so high that even the best developper can't fulfill them.

Or, I'm wrong and the game is gonna kickass.

p.s : Doom 3 was good, except for the flashlight.

I honestly hope they get the voice done right. Duke 3d's quotes are epic! Hands down one of the greatest games ever made.

OMG!!! its DUKA NUKAAAAAAAAAAAM!!! can't wait. I used to play the 3D version EVERY DAY!! and I used to have all the add-ons and cheats disc and the sound track! it was so EPIC!

something something something shit down your throat!

I'm all out of gum.

Before they publish anything they better check out CrimeCraft. I mean visiting bars with dancing girls was cool back then in Duke Nukem, but CC takes this to whole new level. I would like to see more of those "little candies" in it.

[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]By the time this is released in 2011 it will have been a 15 year gap between games.I hope they don't screw it up like they did with Doom 3.[/citation]Doom 3 was screwed up? I thought that game was pretty bad ass if you ask me...

Please remember that they changed directions with Borderlands right in the middle of production. The original Borderlands was going to be a dark, serious, game with more realistic graphics than what we got. Changing the Art Direction mid-run can really extend the production time on a project. But it doesn't really hurt too much considering Borderlands was still a pretty good game. If they can make half as good of a game with Duke Nukem then I will be content. I don't set my standards too high with Duke, as the first game was good, but it wasn't spectacular.

Why is everyone so hyped about this game. I loved the original but there's no way it's going to be able to live up to the amount of hype it has.
I fear it's going to have the same fate as the Doom series.

I've had my hopes dashed too many times over this. Call me jaded, but I'm going to wait for a playable demo and/or firm release date before I believe anything.

Quite interesting, I was hoping a good company would pick it up. In the end I thought Cryoteam would end up trying to revive it, since Serious Sam and all. But it's nice to see gearbox, who makes decent games, and with fine support take a crack at finishing duke nukem.

[citation][nom]JWL3[/nom]Hope they don't water it down for today's "kinder" "gentler" politically-correct days.[/citation]
If anything, I think that we are less politically correct these day than in the mid-90s.

I have never played a Duke Nukem game, because as a child i was mostly sheltered, but I think the game has potential. Its been on the shelf for as many years I have been reading gaming magazines( which is about 7 years maybe?) and its always been the elusive legend that could never be proven or disproven.......

I hope Gearbox makes it into a good game, I would really like to play it.
