[citation][nom]yzfr1guy[/nom]The title says it all, Forever!! This title has been forever in the works and if completed it's going to equal a 10 year old looking turd of a game. the graphics look like a cross between Tribes II and the mentioned Borderlands. I wouldn't even let my dogs pee on this game...[/citation]

Excuse me, but look at fallout 3. Bethseda completely scrapped the old engine and used the engine they used in oblivion. Last time I checked the game sold big. If this game is indeed using the engine that borderlands is using then it won't be the same engine that has been under "development" for 10 years.

Since when did Take 2 win the court case and own "all the assets"? AFAIK they both dropped suits. Publishing rights, fine, but that statement suggests they own the IP. Take 2 still retains publishing rights and can be a source of income. Seems logical 3DRealms and Gearbox entered an agreement with Take 2 sitting at the table since they'll be flipping any bills at this point.

They need to just publish this game, the expectations that it will be great is very low now. However, if they make a sequel to DNF that has no major obstacles and is release in a shorter time span, i believe that would be much better.

damn... Duke Nukem 3d is one of my all time favorite pc games. Sad to see the franchise go under. still, I would rather see it's end than have crap games made just to milk the cow a bit more.

Sure, work on it has been suspended due to the death of 3DRealms, but Take 2 owns all the assets and probably doesn't want to throw it all away.

Marcus, are you an idiot? Take 2 does not own the assets...

[citation][nom]tomssound[/nom]No matter how good the game is, It won't be able to live up to the hype.I'll still buy it though[/citation]

What hype.I thought it was long and gone..I have no expectations for this game. So I know if its good Ill like it a lot when I buy it.

[citation][nom]Parrdacc[/nom]I saw the Duke at the store with Elvis. That's about what these stories and rumors amount too anymore.[/citation]
I'd buy the elvis part before duke. Even if duke does eventually come out, I think it'll end up sucking.

What we need is a sequel to redneck rampage!

I want more Wing Commander games.

For those people talking about the Duke being a "clone" of Half-Life, or for that matter any game seriously needs to read up on his/her internet "skills" or knowledge. Duke Nukem was primarily one of the first FPS titles back in the day. I still remember Duke 1 & 2 before Duke 3D. The kick-ass character we all rooted for to save our chicks back in the day could come full force and blow people away. I mean seriously, there aren't too many FPS that have a character like Duke (at least original anyways). Plus, if it's as epic as I'm led to believe I will think it'd be worth my time in waiting.

+2 Pre-Order copies if the ball continues to roll. (1 copy for me to play, 1 to keep as a collector's piece to the man who chews bubble gum and kicks ass!).

All hail to the King baby!

would love to see this game come to fruition ... but my prediction is.. if they do finish D.N.F they will wash the original concept.. then dumb it down.... and release on console... pity.. i had such hi hopes.

Duke Nukem, is actually repairing construction projects gone bad under the alias "Mike Holmes".

A man has to do something when he's not killing aliens and pigs.

The game will be the greatest that man kind has ever witnessed. Simply being near the game will cause a blind and deaf man to cry tears of joy, for the force which this game holds is unfathomable.

I have forseen it.

Even if it does get released it probably will be mediocre. I dont think the character works well in the type of FPS games people are expecting these days.

He kicks the arse of alien scum for destroying his ride, and gets all the hot babes, plus very big guns.

How does this not meet the interests of today's average teenage gamer.

It's the game that just refuses die! Ever.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: If I see actually this game on the shelves in Gamestop I'll probably have a heart attack!

Also I think at that point the Universe will probably fork off into a separate reality to our own because everyone knows that Duke Nuke Forever cannot be released, just like we cannot go faster than light. The universe will need to reinvent itself and change its own rules in order to handle this conundrum.
