geforce 1060 6gb with ryzen 5 2600 cpu but low fps

I had recently just built my first pc, mostly to just play fornite and league of legends. I did my research on the benchmarks for my gpu and cpu and they were tested on fortnite. most ppl get 70 - 90 fps on high and even epic settings. but when I tested my build, I get low fps from 40 - 50 highest 60 fps.

Specs: ryzen 5 2600 3.4 ghz(3.9 ghz max boost), gtx geforce 1060 6gb , Vengeange lpx 2x8 16gb ram 3000mhz. x470 gigabyte ultra gaming mobo.
I thought with this build i'd get some pretty decent fps.. i have tweaked with the settings. such as blur motion off and other stuff. but still. updated to the proper drivers and everything. i might be missing something. Hopefully i can get an answer. Thank You!

check CPU/GPU usage and temp, hwinfo or MSI afterburner
What ram speed are you running at? Any OCing?

Yes I did install msi after burner and kinda figured out what the problem was. It was the resolution. It was way too high. But now my Temps are about 96C on my gpu.i have to rma this gpu. Thank You tho for you reply.

yes, 1060 is only good for 1080p with high settings. 1440p -> GTX 1070+
