Geforce 1070 question

I am looking to get the EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 SC Gaming. How well would it run games at 4k resolution.

I don't need 60fps constantly.

Well it would run it acceptably if you don't need 60fps constantly, and depending on the game and the settings it could run 60+ fps. See this article: http://techgage.com/article/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1070-review-a-look-at-1440p-4k-ultra-wide-gaming/2/ they use ultra/high settings for all of the games they test, so you can probably expect some more FPS if you're willing to go down to medium.
