GeForce 8800GTX getting really hot

I have a GeForce 8800GTX and it is getting really hot, it is getting to like 80 degrees while the cpu and things stay under 40 degrees. I have a Thermaltake A31 Chaser Blue Thunder case with a few fans in it. Any reasons causing the graphics card to get really hot? I have like really good parts except for my graphics card, gonna get a new one after christmas when i get enough money.

Well look at that! I had no idea a 8800gtx could play BF4, let alone at a playable frame rate.

Yeah 770 are great for 1080p! Great cards.

AA stands for anti-aliasing, essentially what AA does in games is it smooths out rough edges... I see a lot of jagged edges on everything.............. if you got your self a new card with a couple of gigs of vram, you could make your games look a lot better.

It's on medium settings, on high it gets about 30 fps

I just remember getting very unplayable frame rates on my 8800gts 512mb version with the newer g92 chipset. Bf3 was unplayable so i went up to the 560ti.

On ultra settings it gets about 20-25 max

GTX8800 seems to work better on BF4 than a Radeon HD5770. I got more lag with the HD5770 than i get with the GTXX8800

gotta remember, one card only renders DX10, the other DX11. you need to go into the games control panel and disable those DX11 attributes.

Changed the thermal paste, and cleaned the dust, it's still getting hot, not much change

Yeah as I thought, they just run around that heat, pretty normal.
