GeForce Go for notebooks

Anyone have the chance to see the GeForce Go in action? How does it look? Is it able to play games at a decent rate? Please tell me as much as possible as I am considering a notebook.

The GeForce 2 Go is a very good graphics chip compared with other notebook graphics, but compared with desktop equivilents, it performs worse than a GeForce 2 MX, especially the 16MB version.

If you can cope with these frame rates, then by all means, go with the Go , but otherwise, I wouldn't bother. Consider also that you'll be stuck at the resolution your laptop comes with, and if this is 1280x1024 or 1600x1200, you won't have a happy time at all trying to play games. The MX core is simply not good enough for these resolutions.

For an occasional game of Quake, it's fine, but for anything else, laptops in general simply are not built for games.
