Geforce Gtx 460 driver BaD?!

hey my graphics card is a Geforce Gtx 460 I Installed it when i needed to replace my hard drive in my computer however whenever i try to update the driver I get a BSoD I tried everything to installing old drivers to downloading from the disk and nothing has work can this have anything to do with my motherboard 🙁 or is it the drivers are bad?

Firstly , you need to completely remove your Graphics driver with DDU - Display Driver Unninstaller : http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Then reinstall your driver and report back.

I uninstalled the driver manually that doesn't help?

When you're uninstalling manually , roots of the old driver will remain.
Try uninstalling it with DDU.

well i got the 355.87 driver from the geforce website it downloaded fine but once i restarted it will reach the splash screen fiz and go black at least it didnt BSOD so i started to think well is my memory ok so i did a ram check and nothing came up so i looked inside my computer and so it was dusty so i cleaned it restarted and the same problem persists however once i removed the driver from my computer it starts up fine so im positive its just the driver ill list my specs

4.00 gb ddr3
TT spin Q Cpu cooler
Antec earthwatts 650w ATX12V V2.0 PSU
EVGA GTX460 1GB SC

yea I installed using the cd it worked for three days until it finally crashed on me

Hmm. Try using other drivers from 355 branch and see what happen. At least i know my 460 did work with one of those 355 branch drivers.

i used the latest driver however i do have an account to their forums and they say that the drivers from 314 and up have been buggy
new graphics card maybe?

Well for one every drivers will have it's own share of problem..you might be or might not affected by it. PC after all have thousands of configuration. For some people even after countless effort only after fresh install windows they able to make things right.

At the very least you could try installing nvidia drivers and PhysX driver only.
