Hello everyone, and thanks in advance.

So I updated from 8.1 to Windows 10 for free. Yay! I thought my Geforce GTX 550 Ti would support Directx 12. So I ran Dxdiag and it says I'm using Directx 11.2. Is this because there is no support for Directx 12 in the Nvidia drivers? I'm running the latest one released today, 355.60. I don't have the cash for a new card, so does anyone have any insight when you think Nvidia will release drivers for the 500 serious supporting Directx 12?

Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks! :)

I would love to buy a new card! LOL But I did read an article from a few months back claiming they will release a driver to support that. I can't find it. Any insight into that? Thanks!

The Direct x 12 support cant be added in a driver. It got something to do with the way the card is build and the structure of the core itself.

Its to bad that it wouldent support it, due to the way Direct X 12 uses the GFX Waaay more clever than Dirext x 11+.. :(

No worries. Just called the manufacturer and they said Nvidia is working on it and to be patient. Yay! =)

I want to take advantage of those features in Directx 12 you mentioned, while still trying to use what I've got. Cash is low and all that jazz. Thanks for the help and insight!

The 550Ti will now work with DX12, as per, their current list of supported video cards.
