geforce gtx 650 ti or geforce gt 740

Depends. You will have to factor in your CPU. You should check the aforementioned games' minimum system requirements, which can be found with a simple Google search. If you don't know how good your hardware is compared to the requirements, post them and I can tell you.

i know it will be a close call but i got intel xeon x5460 and it runs 2014-2015 games good on 720 p at least the ones i tried im using it with geforce gt 740 right now and it can run battlefield 4 on ultra on 1360x768
the cpu can also be easliy overclocked in bios i got a good heatsink so if needed i guess it could be oc

The games you're playing are mainly GPU intensive anyway, so your CPU should be fine, it's the GPU that mainly pushes the pixels.

Yeah the Xeon CPUs are mainly pretty solid.

False. One of the best-selling budget nVidia cards is the 750ti.

I've got the GTX 750 (which is about 20-30% slower than your version) and it handles most 1080p gaming fine. But it's definitely the bottleneck of my system.

When gaming at 1280 x 720p you should be okay with 1GB vram for most games at the moment... but in the future, with games becoming more and more demanding 2GB would have been ideal. If you run into problems, try turning down certain memory hungry settings such as Texture Quality etc.

It's a bit like with 1080p, where 2GB used to be 'enough'... more recently it isn't.

Ahh, thanks for pointing that out, I misread. If the GT series isn't meant for gaming, what is it meant for?
