Can a geforce gtx 660 OC play next gen games at around normal to high settings? Thanks for the help. This is the best card i can afford for my budget and can not spend any more money on a gpu.

Yes I'd say so. A friend of mine has a 660 and he says its solid for around 60FPS on medium graphics. =)

All games at the minute can run on ridiculously low hardware, e.g. GT510 + dual core Pentium (Bearing in mind this will be at less than 30FPS and on lowest settings), so a 660 will be fine.

If you could push it though I would get the 660Ti, just for a little added performance.

Right now 660's are at a great price (evga sc version for ~$180), so unless you want to increase your budget to afford a 7870 xt/le, the 660 is the better deal over a normal pitcairn 7870.

Boom, great deal.
