I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 powering my main monitor, while my second monitor is plugged into my motherboard integrated graphics. The issue I run into is when I have a game running on my main monitor and anything but the desktop on the second monitor.

For less-graphics-intensive games like Hearthstone, the game slows down a bit when I have something like a livestream or a video open on my second monitor.

With games that require more graphics power like Counter Strike or Dota 2, though, the game drops to unplayable framerates with anything moving on the other screen, and even just having a stationary Google Chrome window open causes noticable drops in framerate.

I haven't found any other places where people have talked about this framerate issue when using dual monitors with both dedicated and integrated graphics. Does anybody have any idea of what could be causing this drop in framerate?

You should never plug one cable into your motherboard and one into your graphics card, IIRC this will almost never work. Plug both of your monitors into your 760 and CS and Dota should run swimmingly.
