Geforce GTX 760 is not recognized by my drivers

I just started my first build, and everything works fine except for my graphics card (Geforce GTX 760) when I try to download the Driver I get a notification that there is not the necessary hardware being detected.

is there any way you can test the card in another system or a different psu in your system? it sounds like the card isnt getting power so it cant be detected in your mobo so this would point the fingers in the right place

There might be a way for me to do that, is that the only test I can run?

yea pretty much to se if its the card or the psu, most likely its just a faulty psu.

What if I just tried a different gpu in the build?

you could try that it may rule out the graphics card but it may be the mobo pcie slot. but it would give some information that would help

just try the other card in there if it works it will rule out the mobo slot and maybe even psu depending on what card it is

I followed these instructions instead,

I'm not sure if that offers the same information, but when I looked at it all it showed was the integrated graphics in my cpu

is it detesting that your pcie slot is populated at all? can you switch the graphics to the dedicated card?

you have to look in your bios not windows

This person seems to be having a similar problem, so i think that Its the gpu

it could be it is known to happen you can always rma it and see if new one works fine i was just trying to rule out other possibilities.

after re-reading the post i doubt it is your graphics card and the 430 didnt take a power connection did it?
if it didnt it has to be your motherboard

if you tried this card in the same pcie slot that the 760 was in and the 430 doesnt have any 6/8 pin pcie power connectors and the 430 did not work.... then it is most likely a bad mobo slot
