my mother board is stock Gateway DX4870-UB20P
with upgraded CPU Intel i7 2600 quad core.
my normal card is GTX 560
windows 10
960s drivers are installed

I've noticed when I plug the GTX 960
with power, and proper connection.
the resolution is changed, to about half the screen
and the only thing visible is the gateway logo, f12 and DEL not working
and starts to beep, eventually turns black with flashing underscore in the top left corner.
thanks with for any help

Solution
That was it, changed the one setting and it just started working. (don't worry too much the computer will still work if this isn't your fix)

incase you are curious my motherbaord is the Asus p8Z68-v

try a bios update, also can you get a recording of the beeps that you are hearing?

I had boot issues with my 960, but I found the cause was my motherboard not properly supporting UEFI boot.

I had to change a UEFI rom setting to legacy rom mode from inside of my bios screen. the computer was then able to boot with the 960 installed.

I probably can, ill add it to a reply

It was that easy? they did say I needed a UEFI BIOS before the 960 starts working.
