Gigabyte geforce gtx 960 4 gb with intel core quad q9500 score on high settings full hd 2392 average fps 58. How much would the score increase with a core quad q9650 ?

Solution
practically nothing. an increase in clock-speed of 170mhz, 12mb of L2 cache instead of 6 (that might help a little with gaming). With regard to what numbers exactly you would get in the test, that's hard to say. for a roughly 6% increase in clock speed,, maybe an extra 100 or so marks.

with the q9500, yes there will be a bottleneck, mainly because of the 2.83ghz clockspeed. Depending on your current motherboard you may be able to OC it. The 2500 on the other hand is a much better CPU than the Q9500. There would be little if any bottleneck with a 2500 and the GTX960. A small OC on the 2500 would negate a bottleneck if there was one.

yeah i got one computer with 1155 and one with 775 and Selling one of them together with the gtx 960 to afriend hes just not sure what one to get depending on the bottleneck. hes gonna have to pay alil more for the 2500 but i guess it would be Worth it.

yeah it would. Its a 2nd gen Core I5, still a reasonable gamer chip even today.

well, you could compare it to an I5 3550, 3570k. Each gen of I5 has roughly abot 10% performance increase on the prvious gen.

So i5 4570> i5 3570 > i5 2500. So with todays new gen, your talking in the region of about 30% less performance. But given the relatively high clocks on the I5 2500, you will still be able to play games fine.
