This Card should be $200 not more . $1000 is too much. you can have the better or at least the performance with 2 GTX 970 for 2x300= $600 only.
Why is this Article not comparing this card with 2 GTX 970 ??? they are only $600 both and will give same performance or little better.
I can understand $200 more for being the titan , but $400 ??? no thats too much greed Nvidia. This card should be $799 .
besides , 2 GTX 970 will draw 280 watts only !!! so not a big deal in comparison.

what can you expect? greed or not their main concern is to make profit as much as possible and make sure the shareholders happy. nvidia is no charity. so does intel and AMD.
I tell you what I expect ... people will buy 2x GTX 970 in SLI for $600 and get same or better performance of the same $1000 Titan X card .. and same power consumption.
this is not about charity , it is about being stupid .
That $ 200 was a typo , I corrected it to $800
Except in a 4K environment with Ultra settings. Games in 4k with these settings are chewing past 4GB of VRAM and that is where the 970's would choke the system. 6-8GB of VRAM is going to be needed going forward in Ultra 4k. At 1080p and 1440p, the two GTX 970's are probably a solid bet.
