"" It's unclear why this will be the case "" lemmesee if im psychic yet.....nvidia wants their flagship to be absolutely the best there is.....and since they wont make it themselves, they can only put it in the hands of the very best high end hardware makers. am i right?

Despite the absurdly high price, and the headaches of a dual-gpu on one card, and power and heat, I want one. I'm sure one day for $1100 it could be mine. Hey nVidia -- I have plenty of time on my hands at the moment. How about sending me one to put through the paces for a couple weeks?

Thanks in advance for your patronage.

One GeForce GTX 580 is set to $450.
It's easy to imagine the tag price for an GTX 590.
I think about $799-899... it's probably why only 2 companies push the GTX 590.

And all this can be yours for the low low price of 1000 dollars!

Also judging by the crazy tight packed PCB, I'm betting its underclocked.

From a sole gaming viewpoint, the graphics cards being put out lately all are above the threshold to play the latest and greatest games, hopefully games will catch up eventually. Seems like overkill when most computer games are not even that demanding
