I've got Gail DDR3 2 * 2 GB 1600 MHz latency CL11. Motherboard asus m4a88tdv-evo. That mobo supports 1333 MHz RAM and up to 2000 Mhz O.C. At least once a day my computer freezes with the message memory_management error (blue screen). It's happening on windows 8.1. I tested the memory in memtest86+ (3 pass) and in the windows memory test, without errors. All in bios was at default (auto settings). Memory was working at 1600MHz with voltage 1.5V. After that I change frequency to 1333, but still have same problems. Freezes one to two times a day. Any help and advice would be welcome!

Thanx for your reply. CPU is a Phenom X4 965 BE. In the specification for that memory operating voltage is 1.5V, which is the same in BIOS. I'll try to increase DRAM voltage anyway. I hope that increasing voltage won't damage RAM. What is even stranger man who sold me the memory says that he didn't have such problems. This morning I had a blue screeen after weaking up a computer from sleeping mode.

Problem may well be in the CPU, it was the first AMD CPU (the 965) that could fairly reliably run 1600 sticks, might also increase the CPU/NB voltage about the same (the + 0.05 or so), the little extra voltage to the DRAM and the MC often stabilizes things, and is perfectly safe with both 😉

First I increased DRAM frequency to 1.56V, and I had crash again. I'm now increased to 1.65V, so we'll see. For the CPU and NB frequency there are two sort options "offset" and "manual" setup. Whether to change something about it? Also a strange thing: if the computer stay long in sleepeng mode and after weaking up crash immediately without BSOD, just restart. Is it possible that this memory for some reason isn't compatible with my board. Or intended for intel CPU/mobo?

By the way what's MC?

Thanx in advance! I appreciate your help!

I increased DRAM voltage to 1.65 and no more BSOD. I'll wait a day or two more, and that will be enough to say that the problem is solved. Cpu/NB voltages didn't touch yet.

My happiness didn't last long 😀

Increased RAM voltage to 1.65, after that BSOD (with message irql_not_less_or_equal) at the weaking up computer from sleeping mode. After that I increased CPU/NB voltage by 0.07V both. After that again problem at the weaking from sleeping mode. Just black screen and immediately shut down without any notification 🙁
