The PCIe 3.0 x16 host bus interface and x16 PCIe bridge provide four lanes of bandwidth to each installed SSD for maximum performance. Sustained data transfer speeds in RAID 0 can reach up to 11,700 MB/s.
It looks like each ssd still only get x4 so it would not be faster then what you already have unless you did raid.
From what I see the adaptors work on x16 but only do x4 per drive, but it is possible better options are available that I am missing.
Anyone is welcome to correct me if I am wrong but this is what I found in my research.
