I'm in the process of learning more about hardware so I can build my own computer and hopefully overclock when I get better with it. Therefore, I want to go with AMD, and I don't have a lot of cash. So I want 400 FSB and I want cost efficiency. In that case, could someone please suggest a good motherboard for this set up? And possibly what type of processor I should get with it? Thanks a lot.

Everyone here crazy about the ABIT NF7-S Version 2. Marry a stock XP-2500 or a Mobile 2500 and PC3200ram gets you to 2.2ghz on a 200 X 2 FSB. The board is $89.00 and XP-2500 OEM is $75.00 at NewEgg.

He's right, the XP2500+ on the Abit NF7-S, overclocked to 400 FSB (which has an actual clock rate of 200MHz, 400MHz being the data rate at 2 transfer batches per cycle). People often choose the Mobile XP2500+ because it's even easier to overclock and does so at a lower voltage, reducing heat.
