So, during my holiday in Germany, I decided to buy a gaming keyboard because it would be more expensive in my home country. Now that I'm home, the German keyboard is acting like an English one. For instance, if I were to press the 'Z' key on my keyboard, a 'Y' will show up (Germans use a QWERTZ layout). Any help for how to fix this problem? The keyboard is the Speedlink Parthica Core.

Solution
Go to Control Panel > Language > add language and add german and set it as default. Then you can use Win + Spacebar to switch languages.

Thanks Dude! Glad it works now cos it was hard remembering where all the English keys were.

Huh, I just found something out. When typing things in the browser or even now, it still acts like an English keyboard. It only seems to work when I use Windows apps themselves

If you have properly selected german as your input languiage, it will work in any input are you use, browser included.
