Get 480 reference tomorrow or wait for custom cards?

Ok, so my original plan was to get a 1070. As soon as they announced both the 1080 and 1070, I wanted to get it. I waited like 3 weeks from the event to find that I couldn't get one, because of their horrible stock... Ok. Whatever. I decided then I'd get a 480. About two weeks go by and now I'm here. Should I get a reference card tomorrow or wait for custom cards? Here's the reasons why I'd take each of them:

Reference:
Pros: Can't wait anymore, temps should be fine?
Cons: Bad for overclocking (heard you can't overclock past 1400 MHz), will run hotter and louder than custom cards.

Custom:
Pros: Will be better for overclocking, temps will probably be a bit lower, run quieter.
Cons: Won't be available until mid-July, which is another three weeks!

What are you guys doing?

Or wait for the GTX 1060? But you should absolutely wait at least until reviews come out. You're talking about going from high end Nvidia cards to mid range AMD cards. That's not comparable and that difference goes much deeper than just FPS.

Bottom line, take your time, and I recommend you avoid the reference 480 at all costs.

I'm not in the market for one as i own a 390. But if i were interested in one, i would definitely wait for non-reference. This is the sort of thing you thank yourself later for.

Yeah. I'm not king to get the reference card I decided. Are there any rumors on 1060 release date or where it is in the benchmarks? Like is it better than a 480?

Leaks seem to indicate that the reference 480 will be cool running, but you'll know tomorrow when the official reviews are out...

And 17, why would he wait a couple of months for a 1060. It cant outperform the 480, because there's not going to be any room between the 480 and the 1070 for another card. That would be like trying to place a card in between the gtx 950 and 960.

NVIDIA is going to have to release a card with the same performance as the AMD card. Else the 1070 becomes utterly pointless.
