[citation][nom]assasin32[/nom]Not that long on facebook because I imagine most of us have a hatred for facebook and/or refuse to "like" things to just get a beta key or something. Unfortunately for a tech website a bad move on there part if they actually wanted to get rid of all the keys, appreciate the offer though just wrong way to go about it for your customer base. The way most of us would have prefered I imagine would be a sign up page on Toms in which the individual key was displayed or automatically sent to us after signing up. A bit more complicated than how facebook is setup I imagine but that's what happens when your dealing your current customer base, most of us have a general hatred for a few things and facebook is one of them.[/citation]
but youre missing out that this is also a move to advertise THG. theres arguably no better way to advertise this site than through facebook. this isnt just for the current user base. It also helps get more people interested in IT/pc stuff. When new guys click on a link to THG and see all these interesting articles and reviews on the organized THG page, they might stick to it. I myself got interested in pc stuff because of a THG giveaway I saw advertized on another site 5-6 years ago.
this kind of advertising is necesary for a site to grow. facebook reaches farther out than a regular THG article giveaway.
