I've spent weeks trying to troubleshoot this issue on my own and can't figure out what's causing it. Hopefully, someone here can help me. I recently built a new gaming rig. Most (but not all) games cause a BSOD. I'm running Windows 7. BSODs on Win 7, I've found, are almost always hardware related. Specifically, any game that's especially taxing on my system (especially FPS type games) seems to trigger it. So, for instance, I can play Crusader Kings 2 for hours and have no problems. However, Titanfall, BF4, Blade Symphony or Loadout all BSOD within minutes of starting the game. FPSes seem to trigger a BSOD almost instantly.

At first, I figured it was simply a bad video card. However, any sort of stress testing I do (Furmark, for instance) shows no errors and has no problems. No kind of testing program come sup with a problem. So, I thought, maybe it's my RAM. I ran memtest overnight and had zero errors. It's not the RAM.

Nothing is overclocked in my system, everything is running at stock settings. I have never had a BSOD at any time except when I'm gaming.

Finally, here's my system parts list:

CPU: FX-4130 3.8ghz
RAM: 1 stick, 8 gig Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600
Video Card: Sapphire R9 270x
PSU: Corsair TX Series 750 watt
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97

Stock fans and heatsinks on everything as well, by the way.

Any ideas? This is driving me insane because I can test every individual component and they all pass. I can't find any reason whatsoever I should be BSODing so much.

i need the stop code. its ON the blue screen itself, so have a pen and paper handy for when it happens and jot it down. it looks like this format

0x000000000

sometimes like 0x0000005b or 0x000000fe etc. it will depend on whats causing it.
