Get more FPS

So i start playing Battlefield 3 again and it runs ok. I get 25-32fps and i want to know if i get more ram and overclock my CPU will it help me get more fps and how much do you think ill get?

So my pc specs are:
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ (Dual Core) (2.6ghz)
RAM: 2GB 667 mhz (1GBX2)
Video Card: Geforce 9600GT (512MB)

I was thinking about making my PC 4gb ram and overclock to about 2.7ghz-2.8ghz.
If i can get about 10-15 more ill do it but any less is not really worth it as ram will cost me $89-120 to get :/

i dont think it's worth it, you really need a better cpu and gpu.

for now just use low settings until you get >30

you can OC yes, it will improve but do not expect much

Thanks for the help. So what CPU and GPU do you think i should get? If i can i would like to keep my motherboard so ill need a CPU that fits a AM2 socket

bf3 loves quad cores, and get a good gpu. basically, you need a new pc

Just upgrade your ram to 4 or more GB of RAM, then get quad core 3.0GHz or more CPU. And dont try overclocking because it may damage your components, and if you really want to then just make shure that you have allot of coolers who are going to keep your components nice and cold (because i dont think that you would like to be able to cook tea on your GPU).

Yea last night i was looking in to get new parts and it would cost me the same as to build a new pc. So i think ill save up and get a new pc
