Get past locked password on Acer notebook

Friends laptop won't go past password it's Acer notebook her 9 year old grandson must have messed with it when he was playing on it. I'm trying to get into bios to remove Microsoft password on start up. Suggestions welcomed thank you.

BTW, accessing the BIOS has nothing to do with the Windows password.
