For those who don't like origin, after you have installed the game and run it once you can use a program called "Outcome" that will 'patch' the games to not launch - nor need to launch - origin to be played, even online.I don't particularly like origin, it doesn't offer much to the user. But I will say that the downloads are stupidly fast, on a 38Mbit/s line I reached speeds of 25Mbyte/s.As for titanfall, it might not have a plethora of features, but after BF4 was so bloated and atrocious, it's fast paced simple gameplay was very very very enjoyable. It's a game you can play for an hour after work to relax.

Nope. I have Origin installed on a separate drive (which itself is a new thing for Origin), and there are still games which you're unable to change the install path of.

And yes, it's a recent improvement to steam to have multiple steamapps folders, but if it were installed to, say, the D: drive, it would never install games to the C: drive.

You can create a bridge point thing for origin files (or any files) that changes location of the data but it can still be accessed from the original location. Programs like Steam mover do this (called so because of how long after ssds became commonplace before steam added multiple install points) with a really easy GUI. I did this for BF4, as it was so bad I didn't want it on my SSD but kept BF3 in the same place.

If by a new thing you mean right after the name was changed to Origin from EA Download Manager then yes it is a new thing which is a few years new by now. I have had Origin installed to my E:\ drive for at least two years with all of my Origin games installed to the same drive with no problems at all. It is really quite easy to change the default location for not only the games but the DownloadCache for Origin if one give the program half a second look though the options. Oh and none of my Origin games have tried to install itself to any other drive/location than the one I have set.

As far as Origin and EA goes if there is a good game that comes out from EA I will buy it,Titanfall is not one of them though, I am not going to pass up on a good game just because it is from EA or only on Origin that would be stupid shallow and foresighted to pass on a good game just because of the publisher.

Didn't play the beta, figuring that I would just be another average shooter with smaller teams and some cheesy robots. But nearly everyone I know who played the beta absolutely loved it, so needless to say Respawn has gotten my attention. Not holding my breath or anything... but I'm paying attention now.

BF4 is at 24gb and 20gb will only take me about 15-20 min at my speed. No problem, neither would 50 gb. Bigger the game the better I say. Load it up.

You don't mean Steam do you? I have it installed on my D: drive and it gives me the option to install the games on my C: drive if I want, which I don't as it is a SSD.

As a PC gamer, I honestly don't get the hype behind this game. Maybe it is just because EA and Microsoft have so much money to throw at it. If I want some good fps pvp, I go play Planetside 2.

Woah Woah Woah! Slow down guys. Remember, this is EA we are talking about. I learned my lesson after a few games I loved turned out to be horribly launched. SimCity, BF4.I refuse to ever purchase anything from EA until well AFTER launch.

How on earth does Crap Fall take up 50gigs? Graphics are nothing to phone home about, 15 small maps isnt alot of content and sound effects are average?? Please explain 50gigs of Titanfall?
And I thought Max Payne 3 was ridiculous at 30GB.

PlanetSide 2 is Awsome. Nothing is better than getting a large group of tanks and just rolling in on those filthy alien loving Vanu. Smile on this.
But after a year and half I need something new.

I'm interested in this game, but I refuse to buy any game associated with EA. I understand that they didn't actually make the game, but my boycott stands. There are companies out there that are good for the gaming industry and I choose to support them instead.

Haha, 25 Mbyte/s on a 38MBit line...
Indeed, theoretical max on a 38MBit line is 4.75 Mbyte/s. It's either 25 MBits, they stuffed up the downloader and it's saying the wrong thing, or you need glasses.

I hope Tom's Hardware guys find the minimum specs to run the game (at least 30 fps) at maximum quality @ 720p,1080p and Eyefinity. On the open Beta I could run the run prety well @1080p at my x6 1100T and 7950 Boost.

Proof + this was over Wifi via a really bad router.

Yeah, I see a lot of people getting confused with MBs vs Mbs. MBs is MegaBYTES per second. Mbs is MegaBITS per second. MB is faster than Mb (8 bits per byte).

Those numbers don't look right. I do VMotions of 80GB+ VMs in under 5 minutes, and they are going at 45.9 MB/s steady across our SAN Fabric. I think the Origin Downloader is representing the wrong numbers to you, because you defenitely are NOT blind and it DOES say 25MB/s
